Warren Edward Barootjian , born in 1947, is an American born citizen and veteran of the United States Navy. He was discharged honorably after serving four years of active service during the Vietnam conflict in 1964.

He presently resides in upstate New York.Warren is the father of two wonderful Sons,Michael and Matthew Barootjian who live close by and work with him on various projects

He has always been  interested in music and art and comes from a family of reputable artists.  His Great Uncle Thomas Lo Medico was the sculptor who fashioned the medallions presented by the President to the astronauts who landed on the lunar surface.

Warren Michaels, as he is known by BMI, has written nearly 100 songs in his career and has worked with some of the most distinguished musicians in the business. His first producer and dear friend  of over 30 years is Rob Sabino who is noted for his keyboard  trax on at least 29 gold and platinum albums to date.

Warren composed his first patriotic Song "Lady By The Sea ," which found its home in the museum library on Ellis Island in 1986 where it remains to this day.  Warren  wrote many other songs, some published both in  the United States and abroad.

After this, with inspiration from a Purple Heart recipient who will remain nameless, Warren composed "Purple Hearted Heroes."

This song became a notable anthem performed throughout the United States by many artists.  It did receive considerable attention from  major news, including radio news and print media as well.  It has become somewhat  of a grass roots tradition and suitable for Memorial Day as it speaks more of the sacrifices than of the nation itself.

Warren has taken it upon himself to offer a free customized CD to all the Gold Star Mothers throughout the United States shipped free to their homes. This gift is a token of appreciation for the sacrifices and the loss of their children

If you are a Gold Star Mother Please send an email to Lovingamerica1776@yahoo.com

Warren also authored "Toys for Tots Train" which was selected as the theme song for  the Toys for Tots Foundation and posted on the national website in 2010.

" Loving America " is his current project written in 2011 and has received rave reviews. This anthem speaks to the courage of the Founding Fathers in the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It  also speaks to the courage of American citizens today who continue to fight for their liberty and for their children's, as well.

Warren is not done writing his great anthems by any stretch as he approaches his 69th birthday. He will continue writing music, poems, short stories, in whatever form God gives him inspiration.

Warren  is an extremely spiritual man for over 40 years with giving  God all the credit.  A servant of the Lord Christ, Jesus being baptized with the Holy Ghost and born anew with several gifts of the Spirit, he attempts to remain humble.

While listening to Warren's music one must always realize that becoming a commercial success was never his ultimate goal. However, having peoples lives enhanced by his art is and always will be.
